Andrew Robertson, Chairman and Managing Director
Andrew is a Rhodes Scholar and studied engineering at Sydney University (1st Class Honours and University Medal) and completed his DPhil at Oxford. He worked as an aerospace engineer in the United States before joining the leading business strategy consulting firm, McKinsey & Co.
As an executive at McKinsey, Andrew advised the management teams of globally recognised companies in the US, Asia and Australia on issues relating to large scale distribution, operations and competitive strategy.
Andrew founded Ingevity in 2005 and is heavily involved in both company strategy and operations.
Greg Woolley, Director
Greg is a Director of Ingevity. He is the CEO and a Director of the LJCB Investment Group and its associated entities.
Prior to this, Greg practiced Mergers and Acquisitions with Macquarie Bank’s Corporate Finance Group.
Greg is the founder, a Director and Chairman of the Investment Committee of ALLCO Equity Partners. He is the Chairman of Global Aviation Asset Management, a Director of STW Communications, Australia's largest listed marketing company, a Director of Rismark, an innovative mortgage fund manager, and serves on the board of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
Professor John Piggott, Adviser
John advises Ingevity on social policy issues relating to an Ageing Australia and on the international “State of the Art” in retirement income product design.
He is Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Economics, and Professor Economics at the University of New South Wales. Professor Piggott was elected a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia in 1992.
John has a long-standing interest in issues relating to retirement and pension economics and finance. He is broadly published on topics of retirement savings systems, adequacy and reform. He also has wide consulting experience with both Australian and international bodies on topics related to ageing issues. These include ageing-related work with the Cabinet Office - Government of Japan, and an evaluation of World Bank assistance on pension reform in the Asian region.
Allan Betts, Business Development
Allan is responsible for much of the operational development of the Ingevity business. He also provides important input into Ingevity’s strategic planning process.
He brings a wealth of experience as an actuary, with a 30+ year career in funds management, superannuation and life insurance in Australia. Allan was a co-founder and General Manager of PrefSure Life, Managing Director of Risk Resolution (a subsidiary of M&G Re), CEO of Advance Life and division head with both Westpac Financial Services and MLC.
Mike Wang, Senior Actuarial Analyst
Mike is responsible for both Ingevity’s sophisticated pension financial product models and detailed product development.
Mike has seven years of experience in the banking and life insurance industry and is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. Previous employers include Westpac, William Mercer and AMP. Before working at Ingevity, Mike ran an independent actuarial consulting business whose clients included the RGA reinsurance group.
